Our Mission

Inspired by Mother Teresa and a desire to contribute locally, our mission at Small Things is simple: we share kindness in our community.

We believe kindness close to home can bring a smile, spread a little sunshine, and help someone’s day.

Not all of us can do great things. But we can do small things with great love.
— Mother Teresa

Our Story

Small Things’ story began during the pandemic with Truckloads of Gratitude, when we delivered meals to healthcare professionals and emergency responders during the COVID lockdown. What began as a quick response to a difficult time became an ongoing mission.

Today, we celebrate and care for the people who make our community strong, from our seniors and veterans to our children, our neighbors facing hard times, and many others who call our community home.

Sharing kindness in our community, one small thing at a time.

As we have grown, Small Things has shared countless acts of kindness across Warwick and our surrounding communities.

We do our best to keep it local and personal, turning donations into direct support, quickly and thoughtfully, with heart. Whenever possible, we buy what we give right here in town, supporting the family-owned businesses and employers that make our community strong.

None of this happens without our fundraisers, and without the incredible generosity of our supporters and donors.

I can’t say enough about all the good that Small Things does for us and the other food pantries in the area. The pantry has been blessed to have their support and help.

From providing warm soup for our clients during these cold winter days to purchasing produce for us to finding us freezer space during an emergency, we know we can always count on them to help us.

Small Things is simply the best!!
